Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) was featured in the Lewistown News-Argus ahead of our TEAMS training with Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewistown on May 27, 2026.
The training brought critical access hospital and EMS teams together to practice coordinated emergency response in a rural setting. Through hands on scenarios, participants worked on communication, stabilization, transport and transfer, all in the same kind of environment where real emergencies unfold.
CMMC is a 25 bed critical access hospital with an emergency department staffed around the clock, every day of the year. It is designated as a Level Four Community Trauma Facility by the state of Montana and also provides ambulance services for central Montana. Bringing the training straight to Lewistown let local providers build confidence and sharpen their teamwork close to home.
"Rural communities deserve access to high-quality, team-based training close to home," said Sara Kaull of Simulation in Motion Montana. "This training gives providers in Lewistown and the surrounding region a chance to strengthen communication, decision-making, and coordination before the next real emergency arrives."
Thank you to Central Montana Medical Center for hosting, and to the Lewistown News-Argus for helping share this work with the community.
