FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOZEMAN, Mont., October 6, 2020 — Simulation in Motion-Montana announced today the appointment of Sara Kaull as interim executive director. Kaull’s appointment follows the resignation of Darrell Ehrlick who was recently named the editor-in-chief of Montana’s States Newsroom project.
Ehrlick joined SIM-Montana in March 2020 as the first executive director of the world’s only accredited mobile simulation medical training program. Since then, Ehrlick has helped guide the development of the organization. SIM-MT provides medical education to rural hospitals and emergency services in Montana and neighboring states. SIM-Montana was made possible by a grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
“I love SIM-Montana and am proud of the work we’ve accomplished together in a short time. More than ever, Montana practitioners need world-class medical training and SIM-Montana is uniquely positioned to fill that need,” Ehrlick said. “I am grateful to the board, partners and staff at SIM-Montana for allowing me the opportunity to help move this exceptional organization forward.”
“We are very pleased with the services of Mr. Ehrlick and wish him well on his new venture,” said Drew Dawson of Boulder, chair of the board of SIM-Montana. “The organization is well-positioned to continue to grow under the leadership of Ms. Kaull.” Kaull, the new executive director, has an extensive background in both corporate and nonprofit leadership and management. “I am excited to get started,” Kaull said. “This position provides an opportunity for me to use a variety of skills honed throughout my professional career. I am honored to join this fantastic team.”
“The board is delighted that Kaull has joined the SIM-MT organization and looks forward to her leadership,” said Dawson. Kaull can be reached at sara@simmt.org or at (406)281-7360.
