SIM-MT is here, and ready to supply your organization with healthcare providers fully trained in patient assessment and diagnostic reasoning.Simulation has been shown to improve the quality and safety of patient care. We promote the delivery of high-quality care by training you on a wide array of medical topics, from everyday common occurrences, to what we call low-occurrence but high-risk situations. As the use of simulation in the classroom is gaining increasing attention and advancing the science of simulation in healthcare, we aim to make a tremendous difference with the educational offerings we make available for you. This teaching method is moving out in front when it comes to closing skill gaps. This is a golden opportunity to reimagine how you learn.
SIM-MT has proven integrity. We are the leader in our field. In May of 2019 SIM-MT became the first and only mobile simulation education program in the world to receive accreditation from the international body the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and the Council for Accreditation of Healthcare Simulation Programs. This esteemed recognition places SIM-MT alongside healthcare simulation programs like those found at Yale, Harvard, Duke, John Hopkins, and Mayo. This validates that we are an authoritative source for all of your training needs.
We provide valuable medical education and training in a team-based learning environment. Your team can practice clinical judgment in a safe environment, honing your assessment and diagnostic skills. We simulate real processes, offering a comprehensive world-class educational healthcare program that serves a variety of disciplines and practitioner populations. We provide innovative new approaches that promote the sharing of clinical knowledge and skills that benefit healthcare providers of all levels.
By defining and measuring competencies, we enhance both practitioner and patient safety. Real-life outcomes are better when high-fidelity simulation is used. We will teach you to engage in the thinking and questioning that surrounds medical interventions, as well as the rationale for these actions. We encourage the process of intelligent reasoning. Simulation experiences are sensory. They are stored in our memory, ingrained as actual experience, and become an automatic reaction when one experiences a cue in the environment.
Here at SIM-MT, we have brought together the finest and brightest education guides for the best practice of integrating high-fidelity simulations into your educational needs. They come from backgrounds as diverse and admirable as the US Army, Search and Rescue, and Department of Defense. They are a fantastic team of Paramedics, Registered Nurses and Firefighters with combined decades of experience. They hail from both ground and Helicopter Emergency Medical Service agencies and hospitals throughout Montana, and across the world.
Our Board of Directors is a team of entrepreneurs, academic leaders, university deans, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, expert legal witnesses, state representatives, nationally recognized speakers, healthcare administrators, award winners, researchers, educators, and medical directors. They too, bring decades of combined expertise to their official oversight of SIM-MT. Our new executive director, medical director, and program director have all left behind careers in leadership and management to join our team here at SIM-MT. We are honored to have them!
